Rockets are go!

Writer's picture: Alan NeilsonAlan Neilson

Rockets in the Trees' debut album "Time to Live on the Edge of Life" is to be released on all download stores on 20 March 2022. It took three years to complete and multiple nervous and mental breakdowns. The legendary producer /engineer Phill Brown (who recorded Neilson's favourite albums of all time 'Spirit of Eden' and 'Laughing Stock' by Talk Talk) has heaped praise on the album: "I think one of the reasons I like your material is that it sounds real – there’s loads of “Space” and Dynamics. It does not feel over-treated with compression or FX, etc. I really like the vocals and I feel part of the performance when listening.

Really enjoyed it and will listen again."

elementary recordings is a failed experiment.

It is a record label; a real record label, in that it actually did make music available to a global audience, however, it did so with a sense of naivety and never really understood the market it had entered.

elementary recordings believed that the artists involved in the label were of such high quality, that the market would turn its attention to them.  The music business does not work like that.
