We are proud to add our name to a list of artists trying to put pressure on governments for a ceasefire in Gaza. As you know the inspiration for the song "(I'd Rather Be Your) Kite" (written in 2020) is the freeing of Jews from the death camps in 1945 by the Russians, but how a lack of empathy or memory led Zionists to build a wall around the Gaza strip and take over Palestine bit by bit, until now this has brought us to a point where Israel is exterminating Palestinions under the right to self-defence argument - these are war crimes, pure and simple. It's a travesty that the Labour Party under Starmer is so weak, which is why this Corbyn inspired protest is the only way forward.
