It is now April 3rd 2021. I would love to say the project is nearing completion and that we have mixes ready for mastering and a release date set, however, we still only have my mixes of 8 of the 10 songs I want on the album. I have completed recording the new faster version of Focussing, with new words, now called 'Focussing On Life'; and the new arrangements of 'Spirit' and 'What If' - I have also started 'Be Brave' and 'Kite'.
I have now added all the up to date mixes of all the songs to their relevant pages so you can see where we are.
The plan is still that after Lockdown ends and me and Kevan can get to a studio, we will do a test mix of a track to see how different a studio mix is. If it is clearly an improvement on my mixes, we will have the whole album mixed this way.

Now 'Kite' and 'Be Brave' are not actually finished yet, but are in production at the moment. There is still a chance 'I Feel' could make the final album, but I still don't actually like it, in its current form/arrangement. Also ten tracks is a tidy number - a concise 5 a side. Anyway I am getting ahead of myself... again.
I have also been working on a collaboration with my cousin Neil Robinson, writing words and the vocal melody to his instrumental. It is called "I'll Go With the Tide" and is about my grandad (Neil's uncle). It is very different from RIIT and my usual style, but I really love Neil's music and it was a pleasure to work on it.
There is also a chance I will be playing some of the RIIT songs live in June, but that depends on Lockdown successfully ending and allowing venues to have live music again. Watch the TOUR page for more info as and when it happens.
